Marcello R.

I'm a freelance photographer videomaker and colorist based near Milan. // I graduated in Technique and Language of Photography at the C.F.P.Bauer in Milan in 2013. Since then I have been working as a photographer and videographer. For the past five years I have been working with video mainly in the documentary and corporate fields, as a cameraman and D.O.P assistant in the production phase and as a colourist in the post-production phase. I come from a photographic background particularly focused on landscape, doc, architecture and still life, flanked by the theoretical study of the history of art, photography and cinema, elements of semiotics and a passion for urban planning. Over the years, I have gained experience in different areas of videography. I like to follow the creative process in its various aspects, from the concept to the final editing. I give serious thought to the coherence between form and content in order to enhance communication through images, a concept that also applies to photography. I am currently working as a cameraman and D.O.P assistant on different documentaries for RAI (ita TV) and ARTE TV. I use photography and video also to develop personal research and artistic projects. My projects have been published by newspapers (Il Post, Artribune), by the publishing house Artphilein Editions, exhibited at festivals or in independent magazines.
