Educated in Italy at the Institute of Art Giovanni Pitscheider is an accomplished and experienced film director and cinematographer. Author of human rights documentaries, corporate and communication film, commercials, features film, music videos and TV formats, Pitscheider approaches every project with great sensitivity and compassion, especially when dealing with human suffering and social injustice.
Used to interacting with all kind of people and cultures, Pitscheider is a cosmopolitan, flexible, ever-curious, individual who loves to work as part of a team. From on-site shooting through editing, Pitscheider personally oversees the entire production process of his films, delivering a final, high-impact, visually sophisticated product in which every aspect of the film is analyzed in great detail.
Born into a family of famous Italian and Swiss artists which traces back to the late nineteenth century, Pitscheider grew up in a talented family, surrounded by paintings and other artwork of great classical beauty: his deeply-embedded aesthetic sense, so clearly expressed in his filmography, is born out of this unique upbringing.
