Hi, my name is Cristina,
I’ve been a creative person since I can remember. I suppose,
when I was a kid I developed my critical sense for images by
drawing everyday.
After graduating in art, I began a sequence of experiences
that enriched me greatly both as a person and as a graphic
artist.
The first of these was Casa Artistica, an illustration studio
on the Turin hill. I worked on editorial projects and Ferrero
storyboards.
I subsequently managed to enter an internship with Armando
Testa, where I was paired with the agency’s historic visualizer,
I learned to understand the art of photomontage, working
under stress and in a team.
The internship lasted only a few months, so I found a vacancy
at Independent Ideas, where I managed to free myself from
illustration alone, attending the evening course in Editorial and
Graphic Design at IED and practicing what I studied directly in
the field of work.
I worked for big brands such as Juventus, Jeep, Iveco and
Caffè Vergnano, touching every aspect of communication.
Once the contract expired, Armando Testa called me back,
where I returned with significantly increased skills and
professional experience.
I stayed there for three years as the official Visualizer, I was
the hands of my creative director.
I was on all projects, print, web and video, I worked in the
Automotive group for FCA, with a very close-knit team.
After three years I began to fear that I would no longer be able
to grow enough by remaining in the same place, so I moved to
London, fulfilling a dream I had always had.
I didn’t know English, so for a year I worked as an artist,
painting Superga shoes, in the Covent Garden shop. I had the
opportunity to find myself surrounded daily by people from all
over the world.
In the evening I attended two colleges so as not to miss out
on anything in my professional field, this is how I also began to
understand video editing with Premiere and the magic of After
Effects.
In Loupe Imaging I officially became a senior retoucher,
working mainly for Primark fashion, home and beauty.
It was a small studio but with clients such as Samsung and
Vogue.
I learned all the techniques of professional retouching, from
cleaning defects to color correction.
In 2020, due to the Covid outbreak, I returned to Turin.
Since 2021 I have been working as a freelancer.
I am lucky enough to continue to work with Loupe Imaging
and have started to participate externally in some Publicis
Group projects.
I am looking for new contacts, to expand my network, in
the hope of working on always new projects and have new
challenges.
I’ve learned a lot but there is still planty I want to learn.
