Fashion, beauty and portrait photographer, high end retoucher and photo educator, I was born and raised on the Tuscan hills just outside Florence. I started photographing at the age of 4 when my parents (also photographers) gave me a pink analogic compact camera.
I always loved fashion, art and taking pictures, for this reason after high school I decided to study Fashion Design at the Facoltà di Architettura di Firenze. During this period I interned at Angelo Marani, where I got the unique chance to attend and assist the Angelo Marani advertising campaign shot in London with the fashion photographer master Solve Sundsbo. A short time after, I assisted the italian fashion photographer Graziano Ferrari at the Milano Fashion Week where here I took care of the catwalks imagery for Grazia Magazine.
Once I obtained my fashion design degree, I wanted to get better in photography, so I joined the School of Visual Arts in New York in order to specialize my skills in fashion and beauty imagery. In New York I interned at Andrea Blanch Studio as high end retoucher and, shortly after, I became retoucher supervisor, coordinating and educating all other retoucher interns.
Once I finished my master in photography, I went back to Italy where I started to work in the fashion and beauty industry and at the same time I had lessons from some of the best photographers and high end retouchers in these fields, such as: Nick Knight, Annie Leibovitz, Natalia Taffarel, Naik Pratik, Julia Kuzmenko McKim, Dave Cross, Kathrine Eissmann.
In the beginning, I was art buyer, creative producer and photographer for small projects. After few years I started teaching photography and post production at Academy TSG, where here I improved even more my skills as fashion and beauty photographer.
I am currently based between Milan and Florence working as freelance photographer, high end retoucher, for fashion and beauty brands, companies, music band and magazines, and educator. I am also the Creative Director of Imagery Academy, a digital academy with online photography education.
