Manage day-to-day operations of a global + regional PR department
Evaluate, mentor, coach, and recruit junior and senior talent
Provide quality control and review client pitches, correspondence, proposals, press materials, messaging, and more.
Develop client relationships with an eye to expand our overall business
Maintain cross-departmental relationships on integrated marketing clients - connecting work plans and flows between teams
Generate long-term plans and program recommendations for clients
Develop KPI measurement strategy for campaigns and deliver on them
Ability to multitask on a fast-paced account, providing strategic direction and feedback to CEO, teams, and clients in a timely manner
Attend account reviews and staff meetings - provide ongoing communications and feedback
Client problem fixing and troubleshooting, including the early diagnosis of potential issues
Translate client asks into actionable creative briefs and scopes of work
Participate in new business networking and proposal opportunities
Requirements (unless you convince us otherwise)
10+ years of prior PR experience working in an agency setting, including managing a business unit, department, or the entire staff
Strong managerial skills – ability to manage and prioritize multiple work streams and staff, including management of teams of 5 to 20 people
Must be proactive and flexible, a team player able to work in a fluid environment with changing priorities
Excellent organizational skills, including management of complex projects simultaneously
Ability to read a room and tailor your message and style for the audience
Ability to command respect with insights at client meetings
Experience in placing consumer, technology, corporate/marketing brand and executive leadership stories
Relationships with top-tier domestic and international media outlets
Excellent pitch writing and editing skills (English)
Detail-oriented and self-motivated in a remote work capacity
Technologically inclined, including learning new tools quickly
A natural inclination to stay connected on email, SMS, phone, and social
