Communications Manager - Italy

We're seeking an experienced communications manager to join our growing Italian team to drive B2C and B2B communications programmes. Working closely with the Head of Communications in Italy and a wider European communications team, this role will be instrumental in developing and implementing communications strategies to support the brand development and reputation management in Italy.
The role is a member of the Italian and broader European communications team, reporting to the Head of Communications in Italy.
Develop and implement best-in-class B2C and B2B communications through strategic programmes and a range of proactive communications plans and initiatives that engage both trade and consumer audiences.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including product, business solutions, marketing and policy on communications related campaigns and initiatives, including in areas related to partnerships, product launch and operations, marketing opportunities, CSR programs and more;
Develop messaging, content, and proactive communications initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on blog posts, media pitches, and launch materials.
Work with Italian media and KOLs including pitching stories as well as building and managing day-to-day relationship
Prepare briefing materials and manage spokespeople
Manage external PR agency and other suppliers to support the above efforts and reporting
- Bachelor’s degree required - preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field.
5-7 years of complete communications experience (both corporate and consumer is preferred). Previous experience in a global organisation within social media, Internet or technology sectors is a plus
Highly developed verbal, written and presentation skills
Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
Strong organisational and project management skills with a focus on planning, setting priorities, executing process and delivering results
Ambitious self-starter willing to take initiative with confidence and work independently across a matrix organisation
Creativity and the ability to build communications campaigns that span target audiences and platforms: earned media, digital channels. Experience in issues-handling a plus
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and adapting quickly and flexibly to change
