POSITION

The candidate will develop Fendi’s watches collection for woman and man within the design studio closely collaborating with the product development & industrial teams, and marketing teams. The position is based in Rome with frequent travel to Neuchatel in Switzerland.

Main Responsibilities

Create and develop original design concepts maintaining the Company identity

Conceptualize (2D & 3D) and accurately sketch multiple ideas interpreting fashion vision and trends. Translating into commercial objects the initial brief of the Art Director

Develop detailed renderings and descriptions of each component to ensure prototypes from the Technical team in line with validated designs

Select and research materials and components

Work with the Technical Data Administrator to create detailed technical sheets in 2D and 3D to be sent to the suppliers

Participate in the product development review to validate the aesthetics of the components

Validation of 3D volumes and functional prototypes

Create and maintain an up-to-date assortment of existing lines

PROFILE

From 4 to 8 years of experience as Watch Designer

Degree in Industrial or Jewellery / Art Design school

Excellent freehand drawing / sketching skills

Highly proficient in Office and Adobe Creative Suite, 3D software (Rhino, Solidwork, 3DsMAx or Other) and 3D Rendeings (Keyshot, Cinema 4D, Maya or Other)

Deadline oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment , team player

Fluent in Italian and English; knowledge of French will be considered a plus

Frequent business trips to Neuchâtel in Switzerland
