Our Interbrand Milan office is looking for a Designer to join the team. The candidate will be part of a team of designers and strategists ready to challenge and change everything from brand positioning to brand experience – incredible projects providing a steep learning curve. The candidate will be part of an international team of equally curious, thoughtful, passionate people with diverse backgrounds and perspectives, who care as much about each other as about the work they do.

Working alongside Senior Designers and Associate Directors, the role of the Designer is to support the team by answering design briefs with creative design solutions.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Develop inspiring, imaginative and grounded brand strategies:
  • responsible for applying and co-ordinating the design across the brand and across channels
  • inputs to team in creative, conceptual and design
  • uses a good awareness of design processes to question and challenge design briefs and solve design problems creatively
  • understands peripheral processes, liaising and briefing suppliers and partners
  • works across and integrates multiple work streams
  • works closely with Strategy and Client teams to deliver compelling solutions
  • presents solutions and recommendations on design projects internally and to clients
  • is able to brief suppliers and external partners
  • Grow and develop the team:
  • works closely with and coaches junior designers and interns and ensures effective output for the team
Other Job Responsibilities
  • To brief illustrators and photographers
  • To source images and visual direction for projects
Qualifications/Experience
  • Design degree
  • Relevant experience within the industry
  • Identity experience
  • Good knowledge of the web and users interfaces
  • Print and new media exposure - good knowledge of print and various print processes
Skills And Competencies
  • Passionate about working with brands and branding
  • Bright, confident and full of ideas
  • Team player, working flexibly and collaboratively with Strategy and Client teams to deliver holistic client solutions
  • Proactively and creatively searches for new issues, projects, methods and tools never solely relying on standardized models only
  • Excellent brief taking skills and ability to move on a design idea effectively
  • Works across and integrates multiple work streams
  • Confident communicator (written and oral) with good presentation skills
  • Has an eye for craft
  • Solid understanding of relevant software for day to day work depending on the specialty, e.g. Adobe Suite etc.
  • Coding skills such as Html / css / js are a plus.
